Job Location: This position is located at the Missouri State Treasurer’s Office in the Harry S Truman Building, Jefferson City, MO
Why You’ll Love This PositionThe Treasury Analyst resides in the STO Banking Division and is responsible for a variety of tasks that include the reconciliation of bank accounts and STO internal systems, working with the state’s cash flow, the maintenance of related records and reports, and backing up other Division functions.
What You’ll Do- Reconciliation of bank accounts and STO internal systems and communication of issues to responsible STO and state agency personnel.
- Maintenance of files and records to support account reconciliation.
- Creation and/or maintenance of spreadsheets and reports for data tracking or reconciliation purposes for use both internally as well as by impacted state agencies.
- Monitor cash flow and work with the Investments Division to keep information and reports updated.
- Work with STO contractors and state agencies to support banking related needs.
- Backup and assist other Division functions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Six (6) years of relevant professional experience or a bachelor’s degree (accounting or related field is preferred) and two (2) years relevant professional experience.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- An attention to detail and the ability to stay organized and manage time effectively.
- The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and good customer service skills.
- The ability to operate a personal computer with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Candidates possessing their degree in a preferred discipline will be given preference.
