JOB SUMMARYThe Electrical Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and systems to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted plant operations. The role involves troubleshooting, installation, inspection, and testing of electrical systems in compliance with safety standards, maintenance procedures, and operational requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems including motors, panels, transformers, switch gear, MCCs, and control circuits.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in low voltage and medium voltage systems to minimize downtime.
- Carry out routine inspections to identify potential issues and ensure system reliability.
- Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Support shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance activities as required.
- Follow electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and permit-to-work systems.
- Ensure compliance with site safety rules, electrical codes, and maintenance procedures.
- Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents to supervisors.
