Responsibilities

As part of the sales team the primary role of this position is to maximize sales volume, minimize stales, achieve distribution targets, implement agreed merchandising standards, collect accounts receivable and maintain high levels of customer service. Operating procedures must be followed to ensure continuity of standards across the KSA to support these primary functions. In addition to these duties the salesman will provide his supervisor with the latest market information to develop any sales opportunities, attend training courses designed to improve professionalism and customer service, and complete a daily debriefing with his supervisor.

  • Sell the full range of products to an agreed list of customers. Sales will be measured against previously agreed targets. Levels of stales must be below the agreed target provided by his supervisor.
  • The customers are to receive the service approved by the supervisor. Call frequency and daily route plan are key to maintaining customer satisfaction. Actual customers visited daily will be reviewed by the supervisor during the daily debriefing sessions.
  • Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks as laid down in operating procedures. Maintain the sales vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition and report any defects or damage to the supervisor at the earliest opportunity.
  • Agree order requirements for the next selling period with the supervisor.
  • Maintain individual customer stock levels to agreed requirements to minimize out of stock problems.
  • Implement agreed in store merchandising communicated by the supervisor. Where additional support from a company merchandiser is available, agree with the supervisor the arrangements to be implemented in the outlets.
  • Advise the supervisor of any relevant competitor activity in the area served. This will be part of the daily debriefing.
  • Daily reconcile all cheques, cash, and credit sales. Zero stock & cash shortages.
  • Ensure sales staff are neatly groomed and presentable at all times.
  • Maintain a high standard of driving and obey driving regulations.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be used to measure performance. Failure to deliver consistently will lead to disciplinary action.

  • Zero cash & stock shortages.
Qualifications

EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Customer service skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Analytical skills.
