ResponsibilitiesJOB PURPOSE
As part of the KSA sales team, the primary role of this position is to maximize sales volume, minimize stale stock, achieve distribution targets, implement agreed merchandising standards, collect accounts receivable, and maintain high levels of customer service. Operating procedures must be followed to ensure continuity of standards across the KSA. In addition, the Pre-seller will provide latest market information to the supervisor to develop sales opportunities.
The Pre-seller is required to attend training courses to improve professionalism and customer service and to complete a daily debriefing with the supervisor.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Sell the full range of products to an agreed list of customers. Sales will be measured against agreed targets. Maintain stale stock below the target set by the supervisor.
- Ensure customers receive the service approved by the supervisor. Follow call frequencies and daily route plans to meet customer satisfaction standards. The supervisor will review visited customers daily during debriefings.
- Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks. Maintain the sales vehicle in a clean, roadworthy condition and report defects promptly.
- Supply ready-to-ship customer orders on time. Include full delivery details and maintain stock levels to minimize stockouts.
- Implement in-store merchandising as directed by the supervisor. Coordinate with any additional merchandiser support as planned in outlets.
- Advise the supervisor of relevant competitor activity in the area served.
- Daily reconciliation of cheques, cash and credit sales.
- Maintain a neat appearance and comply with driving regulations.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be used to measure performance; failure to meet targets may lead to disciplinary action.
EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Diploma or bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years' experience in sales and account building.
