About the Role

The Distribution Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing the company's distribution network across the Western and Southern regions of Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on driving sales growth through distributors, identifying new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with partners, and ensuring effective market coverage. The position requires close coordination with internal teams to support sales activities, optimize distribution performance, and achieve company targets in line with MAPEI SAUDIA's standards and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Understand the products and services being provided, with knowledge of their features and unique selling points.
  • Stay connected with market trends, competitors' activities, and related regional updates to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Identify and reach out to potential clients, projects, and distribution partners to expand the company's market presence.
  • Generate leads through market surveys, networking, and other relevant channels to increase business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and distribution partners by understanding their needs and providing the necessary support to ensure satisfaction.
  • Follow up on the update of renewal agreements with each distributor to maintain continuous collaboration.
  • Monitor and report progress regularly, adjusting strategies as needed to meet company goals and sales targets.
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as project sales, marketing, planning, customer service, and finance to ensure smooth distribution processes and alignment across functions.
  • Generate regular reports for management on sales performance, market trends, and distribution progress.
  • Attend relevant workshops, conferences, or training sessions to enhance skills and stay informed about industry developments.
  • Follow up on payments collection and maintain healthy accounts with distribution partners to ensure financial stability.
  • Conduct regular assessments of distributor performance to ensure they meet company standards and expectations.
  • Manage the planning process to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to customers and distribution partners.
  • Identify potential risks in the distribution network and propose mitigation strategies to avoid delays or disruptions.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns that support the distribution strategy and increase sales.
  • Develop and implement training programs for distribution partners to enhance product knowledge and improve sales performance.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer and distributor insights to help improve the offerings.
  • Keep track of inventory levels in collaboration with the planning team to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards within the distribution process.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the distribution network, driving innovation and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in retail and/or project sales.
Required Skills
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Solid understanding of distribution channels, logistics, and supply chain processes.
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic, spoken and written.
