- Maximize sales volume, minimize stales, achieve distribution targets, implement agreed merchandising standards, collect accounts receivable, and maintain high levels of customer service.
- Provide the supervisor with the latest market information to develop new sales opportunities.
- Attend training courses designed to improve professionalism and customer service.
- Complete a daily debriefing with the supervisor.
- Sell the full range of products to an agreed list of customers; sales measured against previously agreed targets; stales kept below the agreed target.
- Maintain customer satisfaction through proper call frequencies and daily route planning.
- Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks; maintain the sales vehicle in a clean, roadworthy condition and report defects promptly.
- Supply ready‑to‑ship customer orders on time; maintain individual customer stock levels to minimize out‑of‑stock problems.
- Implement agreed in‑store merchandising; coordinate with the supervisor and merchandiser as needed.
- Advise the supervisor of any relevant competitor activity in the service area.
- Daily reconciliation of all cheques, cash, and credit sales.
- Ensure staff are neatly groomed and presentable at all times.
- Maintain a high standard of driving and obey all driving regulations.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be used to measure performance; failure to meet required results may lead to disciplinary action.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in sales and account building.
- Strong communication skills.
- Negotiation skills.
