What you’ll be doing

As an Associate – Merchandise & Supply Planning you will support retail operations by ensuring effective merchandise execution, accurate supply chain data, optimal inventory levels, and timely product availability across stores and warehouses. The role works under supervision, follows established retail and supply chain policies, and collaborates with merchandising, logistics, finance, and supplier teams to ensure smooth end‑to‑end operations.

Merchandise Planning & In‑Store Execution
  • Ensure merchandising levels in stores are aligned with brand guidelines and planogram requirements.
  • Maintain maximum shelf visibility and correct brand space allocation as per retailer agreements.
  • Coordinate booking of in‑store podiums and execution of launches/animations with Brand Managers.
  • Maintain centralized and updated order forms for all brands.
  • Prepare and maintain daily sales reports.
  • Support stock replenishment on shelves and counters at appropriate times.
Supply Planning & Purchase Order Management
  • Process and maintain purchase orders in the system, including special and non‑merchandise orders.
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date order book and follow up with suppliers on deliveries and back‑orders.
  • Send special orders and coordinate delivery timelines with suppliers.
Item Creation, Pricing & Cost Management
  • Validate item master data and support item creation for local purchases.
  • Maintain item characteristics in the system (status, consignment, location‑based attributes).
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of prices, promotions, and markdowns in the system.
  • Calculate initial and revised Estimated Landed Costs (ELC) and collect Actual Landed Costs (ALC).
  • Submit cost revisions to finance and regional merchandising teams as per defined thresholds.
Inventory & Logistics Operations
  • Execute inventory movements including store‑to‑store, store‑to‑warehouse, inter‑country transfers, RTVs, and stock loans.
  • Ensure correct and timely goods receipt and system entries.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams on documentation and physical execution of stock movements.
  • Investigate and report discrepancies in invoices, pricing, quantities, and negative stock situations.
  • Raise replacement purchase orders, debit/credit notes, and insurance claims when required.
Administrative & Coordination Activities
  • Monitor front‑line staff attendance, leave, and vacation records.
  • Calculate sales commissions and ensure timely submission to HR.
