- The Contract Logistics Operation Supervisor role will work under the Contract Logistics Operation Manager to supervise activities that are meant to drive business development for contract logistics
- The Contract Logistics Operation Supervisor must effectively supervise warehouses, fleet and systems to ensure seamless operations
- The Contract Logistics Operation Supervisor will also be responsible for contributing to specific 2PL/3PL solutions for clients according to RfQ requirements (e.g. manpower, MHE etc.)
- The Contract Logistics Operation Supervisor will need to effectively negotiate and build relationships with external parties
- The role of the Contract Logistics Operation Supervisor will need a person who has a strong business acumen, is detail-oriented, and a self-starter with good communication skills.
- Supervise activities regarding the development & growth of strategic product offering of contract logistics
- Ensure alignment of the product branch operations teams in relation to the set product strategy
- Implement the set strategy for the branches to ensure maximum utilization of warehouses and achievement of volumes for contractual rates (rebates)
- Assess team and team performance
- Execute specific 2PL/3PL solutions for clients according to RfQ requirements (e.g. manpower, MHE etc.)
- Supervise specific client contracts according to contractual scope
- Proactively review and understand customer/market requirements and build freight forwarding products and solutions to meet the current and potential needs of the customers
- Supervise sourcing of warehousing, manpower, fleet and systems for the customers
- Supervise rate sourcing for contractual rates
- Support the branches in implementing solutions for the product
- Support commercial teams in the sales aspect of the product when required
- Negotiate and build business relationships with external parties (carriers, government agencies) to improve competitiveness and quality of service to customers
- Supervise fleet and systems to ensure seamless operations
- Provide supervision for the meeting set objectives for the team and for respective reporting
- Ensure sufficient resources to fulfill the product development ambitions
- Provide coaching and training when necessary
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related, or Engineering is preferred
- 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the shipping industry, minimum 1 years in a managerial role
