- Acts as head of a Mechanical function for a business unit. Plans, controls and manages all maintenance activities, ensuring that quality and service standards are met and that targets are achieved, or exceeded, all within approved budget levels.
- Monitors daily progress of Mechanical maintenance activities.
- Finds better ways to modify or adjust the system to increase the life of running machines.
- Collects critical repeating problems from subordinates and discusses implementation of better solutions.
- Follows up critical spares directly to purchase department and suppliers.
- Prepares annual budget for mechanical maintenance department and follows the same.
- Keeps correspondence with suppliers to develop cost effective spares and reduce the maintenance cost.
- Prepares monthly report on maintenance activity, spares situation, downtime details, maintenance cost, etc.
- Supervises and coordinates with machine shop supervisor to develop spares in our own workshop, reducing maintenance spares cost.
- Follows preventive maintenance monitoring.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- Overall maintenance control of tissue machine. Follow up any preventive maintenance activity, breakdown maintenance activity, and planned maintenance activity.
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical.
- Preferably 8 years in similar function.
- Advanced English language skills.
- Strong management and team leadership skills.
- Well-developed computer skills.
