The Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting the Distribution Manager on all Supply Chain Execution activities related to Regional Distribution Centre operations. You will participate in cross functional activities, projects and assignments together with internal and external partners and continue to seek creative ways to improve the overall productivity of the organisation.
What You'll DoAs the Logistics Specialist at Hilti, you will be responsible for interfacing with service providers to ensure on time imports and exports of shipments and all aspects of warehousing operations including inbound, inventory management, outbound reverse logistics and other administrative activities to ensure our customers business requirements are met. Furthermore, you will work cross functionally, use lean management tools, adapt global standards / guidelines and sustainably solve root cause issues to achieve cost productivity, efficiencies, or service improvements.
In this role, you will be required to work closely with other Hilti functions such as Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, etc to ensure better service to our customers while also understanding, interpreting, and communicating global KPIs and performance management reporting. Finally, as part of this role you will be responsible for cost management and conducting necessary audits and checks to ensure that risk mitigating controls are in place within all aspects of operations.
You'll Bring
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in Logistics
- Strong Microsoft and PC skills, with proficiency in the use of Excel and Power Point
- Proficiency in English - written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills
- High level of motivation, customer focus, and a continuous improvement mentality
- Detail oriented with an analytical mindset and mathematical aptitude
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work with strict deadlines
- Willingness to work in operational and office environments
