Senior Executive Manager - Enterprise Architecture

Role

Purpose:

The Senior Executive Manager of Enterprise Architecture leads the definition, governance, and execution of the enterprise technology blueprint that aligns business strategy with scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions. This role owns the target-state architecture, roadmaps, standards, and reference patterns across applications, data, integration, infrastructure, and cloud. Partnering with senior business and technology leaders, the role ensures investments drive measurable outcomes—reducing technical debt, accelerating delivery, and improving reliability, security, and total cost of ownership.

• Operate architecture governance (ARBs/Design Reviews), balancing speed with risk management.
• Establish architecture policies, classifications, and traceability from business capabilities to technology assets.
• Provide hands‑on guidance to product and engineering teams; review high‑risk/complex designs.
• Ensure end‑to‑end non‑functional requirements (scalability, availability, performance, observability) are met.
• Champion architecture runway and evolutionary design in agile at scale.

• Create target‑state architectures and multi‑horizon roadmaps (near/mid/long term) across domains.
• Align product/platform roadmaps with enterprise standards and modernization priorities.
• Drive deprecation plans for legacy technologies and define transition architectures.

• Lead application and platform rationalization, consolidation, and reuse strategies.
• Quantify and reduce technical debt; set modernization priorities (rehost/refactor/replatform/replace/retire).
• Optimize TCO and resilience, leveraging cloud‑native services where appropriate.

• Maintain capability maps, application and interface inventories, and architecture decision records (ADRs).
• Publish and maintain reference architectures, golden paths, and approved technology stacks.
• Curate pattern catalogs and accelerators (templates, IaC modules, CI/CD pipelines) to speed delivery.
