Responsibilities
  • Coordinate office activities to ensure work updates are consistently maintained and all correspondence is handled promptly.
  • Review all reservations thoroughly prior to guest arrival.
  • Take charge of special requests and any problems that may arise within the department on a day to day basis.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient filing system of all correspondence for easy access and retrieval.
  • Build trust with honest communication and strive to achieve a "Preferred Employer" status.
  • Coordinate reservation requirements and liaise with respective departments on special projects.
  • Establish and maintain good relations with corporate accounts, travel agencies, airlines and other booking sources.
  • Update staff and respective departments on room status and selling strategies.
  • Review room availability in relation to total rooms sold, opening and closing categories to maximize occupancy and revenue.
  • Participate in the three month forecast updated monthly, covering market segment breakdown by room nights, average rate and revenue.
  • Track and establish pickup trends, occupancy history and market development to facilitate forecasting.
  • Achieve productivity and cost efficiency aggressively.
  • Execute tasks with urgency and deliver results.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Reservation Manager role.
  • Preferably working experience in a 5 international hotel.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Computer skills.
  • Effective training skills.
  • Willingness to work extended duty hours.
