Head of Finance

A reputable organization in the social sector is seeking a Head of Finance to oversee financial strategy, governance, and operational financial management. This role will be responsible for ensuring financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and the effective management of financial resources to support organizational objectives.

The position requires a strategic finance leader capable of providing financial insight and guidance to senior management while ensuring strong financial controls and reporting practices.

• Lead the development and execution of the organization’s financial strategy and long-term financial planning

• Oversee the annual budgeting process
  , ensuring proper allocation and monitoring of financial resources.
• Manage financial reporting, accounting operations, and regulatory compliance
  .
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.
• Establish and maintain internal controls, governance frameworks, and financial policies
  .
• Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and risk exposure
  .
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior leadership and governance committees
  .
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  .
• Master’s degree (MBA or Finance)

  .
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are advantageous
  .

• 20+ years of progressive experience in finance.
• Strong experience in financial planning, financial management, and financial governance
  .
• Experience working in regulated environments or mission-driven organizations is highly desirable
  .
• Proven ability to lead finance teams and partner with senior leadership on strategic decisions.
