Perform day to day accounting functions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
This job holder helps businesses make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company's finances.
Responsible for financial reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year.
Key AccountabilitiesReconciling the companyÕs bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
Completing analysis of the employee expenditures.
Managing income and expenditure accounts.
Generating the companyÕs financial reports using income and expenditure data.
Keeping a check on the companyÕs finances based on financial status.
Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company.
Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are approved in accordance with company policies and recorded into the financial system.
Coordinate with operational divisions on matters affecting accounting records.
Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
Post Bank entries and prepare bank reconciliation.
Post petty cash entries after checking approval and correctness of amounts.
Any other tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and AptitudeEducational Qualifications and
Certifications:
University Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or any other relevant.
Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts, principals, and practices. Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities.
Technical
Skills:
PC Skills and Microsoft Office Proficiency. Good Knowledge in MS Excel reporting.
Language
Skills:
Fluency in both English and Arabic. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years relevant experience in Finance.
Key InteractionsKey Internal Contacts: Other site personnel and lead persons Day to day work related interaction.
Key External Contacts: Bankers, Financial Banking Matters. Supplier or Vendors Business and Account Reconciliation.
Supervisor or Manager: Senior Accountant and Finance Manager.
