We are currently seeking a highly experienced Track Senior Maintenance Expert to support Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) in organizing, supervising, and optimizing track maintenance activities across its operational railway network. The expert will provide technical leadership, develop maintenance plans and procedures, and support the implementation of modern maintenance strategies including predictive maintenance and digital asset management. The objective is to ensure railway infrastructure safety, reliability, availability, and operational efficiency in compliance with SAR standards and international best practices.

This is a senior technical leadership role focused on maintenance management, planning, performance improvement, and innovation.

• Organize, coordinate, and supervise railway track maintenance activities across assigned railway sections.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to maintenance teams and contractors.
• Maintenance Planning & Procedure Development: develop and optimize preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance plans for track infrastructure.
• Prepare maintenance procedures, technical instructions, and maintenance strategies aligned with international standards (EN, UIC, AREMA).
• Track Infrastructure Maintenance Technical Expertise: support identification and resolution of track defects and infrastructure degradation.
• Provide expert technical support on maintenance of track components including rails, sleepers, ballast, fastenings, turnouts, curves, level crossings and special trackwork.
• Maintenance Innovation, Predictive Maintenance & Digitalization: propose and support implementation of predictive maintenance strategies using inspection data and asset performance analysis.
• Support digitalization initiatives related to asset management and maintenance systems (e.g., Maximo or equivalent).
• Inspection, Monitoring & Reporting: review and assess routine and mechanized track inspections, including TGIV, UT, GPR, ASIV, and patrol inspections.
• Quality Assurance, Asset Management & Compliance: assess contractor quality systems, maintenance procedures, and equipment suitability.

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, railway engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in railway track maintenance, asset management, or maintenance supervision within operational railway environments. Experience in high speed, heavy haul, or mixed traffic railway environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of track infrastructure maintenance, including rails, sleepers, ballast, fastenings, turnouts, and track geometry.
• Experience in maintenance planning, procedure development, defect analysis, and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Familiarity with international railway standards (EN, UIC, AREMA) and railway asset management systems (e.g., Maximo or equivalent).
• Experience in performance based maintenance contracts, maintenance optimization, and asset lifecycle management is preferred.
• Knowledge of digital maintenance systems, condition monitoring, and maintenance innovation approaches is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and technical reporting skills, with the ability to supervise maintenance activities and provide technical guidance.
• Ability to work in operational railway environments and travel across network locations as required.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic beneficial) and valid driving license.
