Responsibilities
- Identify any errors or faults that precision measurement and calibration equipment is subjected to, and set up the work procedure required to fix the precision measurement or calibration equipment
- Abide by the policies and procedures related to maintenance work for calibration equipment, including the requirements of the ISO 17025:2005 accreditation
- Assess technical situation, using technical knowledge and expertise, and arrange work to be carried out in order to provide a cost effective, acceptable solution and highlight any possible cost overruns or defects which may arise to immediate supervisor
- Implement practical solutions within area of expertise ensuring that all technical requirements are met
- Calibrate and repair a wide range of general purpose electronic test equipment, including but not limited to:
Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Digital Multi-Meters, Spectrum Analyzer, Frequency Counters and Calibrators - Calibrate and repair Microwave, RF Power, High Voltage, Vibration Analysis, Temperature measuring equipment, Automated calibration systems etc.
- Assist in the planning of Calibration Centre workload when input is deemed necessary
- Perform required preventive maintenance for precision measurement and calibration equipment as per vendor instructions
- Conduct routine quality checks to ensure safety, health and operational standards are met for all equipment testing activities
- Regularly keep track of changes made in policies and procedures in current and future systems
- Maintain accurate records of all activities and develop periodic report on activities, issues faced and technical recommendations as applicable
- Comply with all relevant SQE procedures and controls to ensure employee health and safety, regulatory compliance, delivery of high quality service and environmentally friendly behaviors
- Conduct day-to-day activities while ensuring compliance to policies and procedures
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes taking into account leading practices, changes in business environment, cost reduction and productivity improvement
- Minimum or no prior experience is required
- Technical Diploma in Electronics or equivalent is required
