The opportunity
The Head of HVDC C&C Civil
AMEAwill lead and strategically manage the Civil construction team and all Civil construction activities for High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) converter stations across theAsia & Middle East(AMEA) region, ensuring project delivery excellence, technical compliance, and sustainable growth.

AMEAwill report to the Global Head ofHVDCC&C Civil.
Develop and implement the strategic vision for Civil construction within HVDC C&CAMEA, aligning with global business objectives and market demands.
Team Leadership & Development and lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Civil construction managers and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Ensure the competence, skills and tools to allow the Civil construction project teams to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of all Civil works for HVDC converter station projects throughout
AMEA, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Ensure the implementation of Lessons Learnt and best design practices for construction, through close cooperation with all stakeholders and involvement in Constructability and Design reviews.
Act as the primary point of contact for Civil construction related matters with internal and external stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships to facilitate project success.
Support the Civil construction project teams to Identify, assess, and mitigate Civil-related risks throughout the project lifecycle, including technical, commercial, environmental, and safety risks.
Manage departmental budgets, resources, and staffing levels effectively to optimize operational efficiency and project profitability.
Ensure resources to provide expert Civil construction input and support during the tendering and bidding phases for new HVDC projects inAMEA and champion a strong HSE culture within all Civil activities, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy's HSE policies and promoting safe working practices.
Drive initiatives for process optimization, standardization, and the integration of new technologies within the Civil construction discipline.
You will be ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your backgroundBachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Civil engineering and/or construction, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or management координ? Actually original text used:
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Civil engineering and/or construction, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or management role.
Extensive experience with large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the power transmission sector, and a strong understanding of HVDC converter station civil requirements.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex civil projects within multi-national environments and demonstrable experience in managing diverse civil teams.
