PURPOSE

Technician to Install, Repair/ maintenance/ trouble shooting of all electrical systems and the solar systems components such as:
Concrete foundation, Mounting structure, PV Modules, DC & AC Cables, Inverters, and all other Solar Systems components.

Responsibilities:

• Install, Repair/ maintenance/ trouble shooting of all electrical systems
• Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment.
• Following layout of solar modules.
• Building, and calculate detailed bills of materials.
• Ability to read design drawings, simulations and implement it as per design literally.
• Good knowledge with PV Systems.
• Understanding/experience with electrical wiring of AC and DC systems
• Repair/maintenance/trouble shoot electrical equipment's/fixtures and devices
• Cleaning for PV modules as needed
• Follow safety rules and report on safety issues.
• Communicate project updates on daily bases to reporting supervisor/ engineer.
• Ability to estimate the needed time for the project.
• Estimate and report project manager with the needed BoQ and tools for the project.
• Ability to perform a site visit to the sites and get the needed information as per the engineers' requirements.
• Repairing or replacing faulty equipment.
• Keeping abreast of advancements in the field and attending workshops as required.
• Supervise the subcontractors and materials handling.
• Prepare daily/monthly report.

• Diploma degree in Mechanical, Electrical or a related discipline.
• 2+ years' experience in Systems Installation.
• Strong technical background.
• Implementation of several other electrical and mechanical systems.
• Fair knowledge of Safety and Risk assessment.

• Use different energy instruments (Power Analyzer, multimeter, Seaward, Earthing Tester, Insulation tester and other measurement devices)
