Site Civil Inspector

Are you a highly experienced construction professional with an exceptional eye for detail and commitment to quality? We are seeking a dedicated Site Inspector to join our Supervision Services team within a top tier regional / multinational consultancy firm.

This pivotal role requires you to be the on site guardian of quality, safety, and adherence to design specifications, ensuring contractors and subcontractors deliver work that meets the highest standards.

What You Will Do (Core Responsibilities) :

• Quality Control & Inspection :
  Maintain deep familiarity with all construction drawings, specifications, and standard details. Conduct thorough inspections on construction works in response to official Requests for Inspection (RFIs), clearly documenting and highlighting reasons for rejection when necessary.
• Progress Monitoring :
  Work closely with Planning Engineers to monitor contractors daily activities (e.g., concrete pouring, installations) and resource allocation against the approved work program.
• Compliance & HSSE :
  Support the QA / QC Engineer and HSSE Engineers by actively monitoring the implementation of quality and safety procedures on site. Record and raise non conformities (Quality and HSSE) and track the rectification of action plans.
• Materials & Testing :
  Support the Materials Engineer in supervising the testing of materials and checking samples against approved specifications and standards.
• Pre Construction Support :
  Assist the supervision team with reviewing contractors' critical pre construction submittals, including staffing proposals, shop drawings, method statements, and project procedures.
• Project Closeout & Handover :
  Actively support the team during the hand over and Defects Liability Period (DLP). Assist Site Engineers in preparing snag lists, monitoring contractor rectification work, and providing input for Take Over and Defect Liability Certificates.
• Documentation & Reporting :
  Provide accurate input to Planning Engineers for the development of project progress reports.

• Education :
  Bachelors Degree in Engineering is preferred.
• Experience : A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Planning Industry, specifically within a top tier regional / multinational consultancy firm.
• Proven expertise in construction site inspections on large supervision projects, covering works progress, quality inspections, and HSSE adherence.
• Technical Proficiency :
  Strong working knowledge of construction supervision services, international engineering standards, and codes.
• Core Competencies :
  Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and clear communication abilities (both written and verbal).
• Language :
  Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English is required.
