UTM Analyst

To identify, document, and analyze the operational needs and system requirements to enable the safe, orderly and expeditious management of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) operations through the provision of facilities and a seamless set of services in collaboration with all parties and involving airborne and ground-based functions, within the set KPIs, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures.

Key Activities

Analyse provision of UTM services

• Analyze and identify the trend and market demand for UAS.
• Analyze and identify the range and characteristics of UAS operations.
• Analyze and identify the system capability and infrastructure requirements for the provision of UTM services.
• Analyze and identify the basic principles for UAM airspace integration.
• Analyze the available procedures and identify improvements for safe and efficient operation of UAS.
• Analyze and identify the manpower and training requirements for the provision of UTM services.
• Analyze and identify the roles and responsibilities functions for UTM services.
• Liaise with relevant internal departments and airspace users to understand operational needs and constraints.
• Liaise with the regulator to ensure compliance with mandates and requirements.
• Conduct periodic gap analysis to measure the efficiency and safety of UTM services.
• Research for new technologies and methodologies to improve UTM services.
• Developing and maintaining documentation and reports.

Reporting

• Producing and presenting the detailed reports on the findings following each analysis.
• Recommending system and service improvements based on finding and user feedback.
• Propose operational concept components to enable UAM airspace integration.

Processes and Procedures

• Conduct day-to-day activities while ensuring compliance to policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes considering leading practices, changes in the business environment, cost efficiencies and productivity improvements.

Knowledge and Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience in air traffic Management or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge on aviation regulation and references.
• Demonstrateshigh analyzingandevaluationsinairspacemanagementissues.

Education and Certifications

• A bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent
• A bachelor’s degree in air traffic management or equivalent
• Certification training in related topics (ATS Operations, ASM, ATFM, SMS)
