Senior Doctor

Key Responsibilities
A senior doctor in this field is responsible for the full spectrum of fertility care, from initial diagnosis to successful conception and early pregnancy management.
Patient Consultation and Assessment:
Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostic tests, such as blood tests, ultrasounds, and semen analysis, to determine the root cause of infertility in both male and female patients.
Treatment Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, which may include fertility medications, Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), or necessary surgeries (e.g., laparoscopy, hysteroscopy).
Procedure Performance:
Perform and oversee core IVF and reproductive procedures, including egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).
Monitoring and Adjustment:
Monitor patient progress throughout treatment cycles and adjust plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
Counseling and Support:
Provide comprehensive counseling to individuals and couples regarding their options, risks, and potential outcomes, demonstrating a high degree of empathy and communication skills.

Collaboration:

Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including embryologists, urologists, nurses, and junior doctors, to ensure seamless and holistic patient care.
Leadership and Mentorship:
Supervise and mentor junior consultants, residents, and clinical staff, contributing to their training and development.
Documentation and Research:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records and stay updated with the latest advancements, potentially contributing to research and clinical trials in reproductive medicine.

Required Qualifications

Education:

An MBBS followed by an MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Specialization: A fellowship or super-specialization (like an FNB/MCh) in IVF, Infertility, or Reproductive Medicine is crucial.
Licensing: A valid medical license to practice as a Gynecologist and Infertility Specialist is mandatory.

Experience:

At least 5+ years of significant experience in patient care, diagnostic tests, and performing relevant procedures in a hospital or clinic setting is expected for a senior role.
