Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Experience in a childcare setting preferred
- Ability to develop lessons that meet early childhood educational standards

-4:00 p.m. Daily
185 Days/School Year (183 care days correspond with teacher contract)
Compensation
Starting Hourly Rate - $16.00/hour

Performance Responsibilities
Associate teachers work under the supervision of the lead teacher to assist with planning and implementing an age and developmentally appropriate curriculum for children up to approximately five years of age.
- Assists in planning, scheduling and implementing the daily program of appropriate developmental experiences
- Assists in maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment.
- Assist with ensuring compliance of all childcare center requirements as a Legally Licensed Exempt Provider (LLEP)
- Assist with keeping current and accurate record of all information necessary to comply with the requirements of a LLEP.
- Maintain required forms and records.
- Work with team members, volunteers and guests in the program.
- Assists with preparation of lessons for children according to age, developmental maturity and learning needs, while including fundamental vocabulary, simple shapes, basic colors, letters and numbers into the curriculum.
- Help children with basic needs such as diaper changing, feeding, etc.
- Help children meet educational milestones through personalized instruction and other supplemental assistance.
- Address basic interpersonal skills such as sharing, taking turns and asking permission in the classroom.
- Manage busy classroom environments and provide the structure and discipline required for successful learning for all children.
- Provide helpful feedback to parents and guardians on a regular or as-needed basis.
- Complete continuing education hours per State requirements.
- Maintain a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere for staff and children.
