Material Handler

For nearly 80 years Rice Lake Weighing Systems has been a successful, growth-oriented company known as a leader in the weighing industry. We are seeking a Material Handler to join our team in our Jasper, AL location.

At RLWS, the main responsibilities of the Material Handler include unloading incoming freight, issuing parts and materials to manufacturing folders and delivering them to multiple work centers, and unplanned moving of parts or products to final stock locations. The employee supports timed routes for movement of product and Kanbans between buildings, along with replenishment of bulk Kanbans for various departments. The Material Handler continually looks for waste in material handling processes and makes changes to streamline throughout the products in the manufacturing area.

The employee also ensures that all operations are correctly counted, entered, and transferred to the appropriate areas in a timely and efficient manner. The position requires both indoor and outdoor responsibilities. The Material Handler must work as a part of a cross departmental team and be able to work flexible hours as needed.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Good Forklift skills.
• Some blueprint reading skills.

Certificates, Licenses, Training, or Other Job-Related Requirements

• Valid Wisconsin Driver's License.
• No current restrictions prohibiting lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to pass a preemployment drug screen
