Compensation
  • Base pay starting at $25.00/hr

Job Duties

Drive a tractor trailer to safely transport product from distribution centers to stores and vendors. Truck drivers follow safe practices and adhere to driving regulations to serve customers, stores, and DCs in a professional and timely manner.

  • Obtain and review driver itinerary and assigned deliveries.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections of trucks and trailers according to DOT regulations.
  • Couple tractors to trailers
  • Drive safely to destination
  • Spot and drop trailers
  • Hook up empty trailers and prepare for transport to next destination.
  • Fuel tractor, spot trailers, and complete driver and trip documentation.
  • Perform all post-trip responsibilities such as safety checks, securing tractor-trailer, completing DOT logs, company vehicle maintenance reports (DVIR), and reporting or notification to leadership or mechanic shop.
  • Communicate with Transportation team and other associates to support smooth and continuous flow of goods.
  • Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and/or procedures.
Qualifications
  • Possess a valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card.
  • Good driving record with no major violations or accidents in last 3 years.
  • Prefer 5+ years CDL truck driving experience.
  • Haz Mat endorsement preferred; or willingness to obtain within 120 days.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols. Basic Microsoft Office and knowledge of software used for Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
