Requirements

Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.

Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery. Must pass a background check and have open availability.

Training

Orientation and training provided on the job.

Communication Skills

Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person. Ability to train and lead.

Essential Functions / Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Must be able to make correct monetary change. Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed. Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Ability to maintain cost controls.

Navigational

Skills

Read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area. Navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.

Work Conditions

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks. In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas. Sudden changes in temperature in work area and outside. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler. Hot surfaces or tools over up to 500°F or higher.

Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering product, driving, and couponing.

Sensing:
Talking and hearing on the telephone. Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Far vision and night vision for driving.

Temperaments:
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work along and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.

Physical Demands

Full‑time standing. Walking surfaces include ceramic tiles and linoleum in food process areas. Height of work surfaces between 36 and 48 inches. Walking generally in short distances for short durations. Must travel between store and delivery vehicle and from vehicle to customer location. Paperwork normally completed in an office at a desk or table. Bulk product deliveries are made twice a week or more, unloaded by team member using a hand truck.

Deliveries may include cases weighing up to 50 pounds with dimensions up to 3 × 1.5 inches, stacked to 72 inches high. Large cans weighing about 3 pounds 7 ounces carried from workstation to storage shelves. Occasionally, pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds carried from storage room to front of store. Trays of pizza dough carried three at a time over short distances, weighing ~12 pounds per tray.

During delivery, carry pizzas, sides, and beverages while walking and climbing. Deliver pizzas within designated area, possibly making several deliveries per shift. Push trays on dollies; stack of 24‑30 trays may require up to 7.5 pounds force to push. Pull trays, move stairs or climb ladders to change prices on signs, wash walls, perform maintenance. Navigate five or more flights of stairs may be required during delivery.

Forward bending at waist necessary at pizza assembly station; duration ~40‑45 seconds repeated continuously. Forward bending also at front counter when stocking ingredients. Occasional crouching or squatting to stock shelves and clean low areas. Reaching performed continuously—up, down, forward—above 72 inches to turn on/off ovens, change sign prices, lift objects. Reaching down to scoop cornmeal from barrel or wash dishes.

Reaching forward when obtaining toppings, cleaning work surfaces, or answering phones. Use of hands continuous: shaping dough, operating pizza peel, rolling cutter, pinching in assembly of cardboard boxes. Ability to grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, peel, boxes. Utilize pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators.
