Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health unit. This role is ideal for a compassionate, patient-focused nurse who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Requirements
- Current RN License
- CPR certification
- Behavioral Health nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, hospital policies, standards of care, and state laws/practice acts
- Document patient care accurately and timely according to standards of care
- Develop, initiate, and implement individualized patient plans of care based on physician orders, hospital policy, and patient/family education needs
- Participate in unit- or department-based performance improvement activities, including shared governance initiatives
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments to support patients’ longitudinal plans of care
- Apply critical thinking to promote patient safety and enhance the patient experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command as needed
