Registered Nurse, RN, Float Pool – Janesville, WI

Job Summary: Nursing Services float pool with differential, full‑time 72 hours over 2 weeks per pay period, night shift 6:30 pm–7:00 am.

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and State nursing practice act.
• Documents care in accordance with standards.
• Performs assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develops, initiates, and executes a patient care plan according to individualized needs, as prescribed by physician and/or clinic policy, including patient and family instruction.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, may include shared governance.
• Utilizes clinical expertise and guidance to other units’ departments to support patient longitudinal plan of care.
• Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience and appropriately escalates to chain of command.
• Participates in professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities and decisions, and peer review process.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.
• Licensed RN in the state of practice.
• Approved CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Other certifications per unit requirements, e.g., ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP.
• May require specific years of applicable experience per department guidelines.
