* Job Description:
** - Prepare histologic slides and tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by Pathologist.
- Work at various locations as needed to ensure continuous service delivery.
- Be ready to work alternate shifts, weekends, and holidays to support our vital mission.
- Engage in a dynamic role that includes other duties and projects as assigned.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
** - Utilize the Information System for sample reception, test ordering, and communication with nurses and physicians.
- Confirm patient sample identification accuracy and evaluate specimen quality, documenting quality control activities.
- Prepare human tissue sections for immediate examination using rapid tissue processing and frozen section techniques.
- Operate tissue processing equipment to preserve specimens for Pathologist review.
- Perform tissue sectioning with a microtome, preparing slides, staining, and cover slipping.
- Conduct special and immunohistochemical stains and procedures as required.
- Perform gross examinations on designated specimens under Pathologist supervision.
- Maintain a comprehensive filing system and records for slides, blocks, and tissues.
- Implement daily preventative maintenance of equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
** Requirements:** - Must meet high complexity testing qualifications as per CLIA 493.1489 Standard.
- ASCP certification required.
- Flu and COVID vaccination necessary.
- Less than 1 year of experience acceptable.
