* Job Description:

** - Be a vital part of the healthcare team, producing two or three-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of the heart and related structures.

- Collaborate with Physicians to aid in the diagnosis of heart disease while ensuring the highest quality examinations.

- Enjoy a consistent schedule from
** 11am to 7pm, Monday through Friday**, with an opportunity to participate in an on-call weekend rotation every 7 weeks.

- Assume responsibilities for the quality of echo cardiographic examinations and apply clinical judgment in determining additional testing protocols as needed.

- Perform a variety of echo cardiographic examinations, including M-mode, 2D, 3D, Doppler, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms.

- Provide emotional support and ensure the physical comfort and safety of patients and visitors during procedures.

- Maintain echocardiography equipment and related areas in optimal working condition.

- Excitingly recognize and respond to arrhythmias, notifying the physician as necessary if EKG readings are abnormal.

- Assess the quality of electrocardiographic and echocardiography recordings, documenting any deficiencies.

- Present technical comments of diagnostic findings to the physician upon completion of echocardiograms.

- Document all patient and procedural information accurately in the medical record, with a target of 98% accuracy for all charges.

- Educate patients and their families about the procedures, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable.

- Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, demonstrating your readiness to help when it matters most.

- Utilize equipment according to established procedures, seeking guidance from manuals as needed, and promptly notifying supervisors of any repair needs.

* Education Requirements:

** - Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program.
** Certification / Licensure:** - BLS required.

- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS).
