The Mental Health Professional will work as part of a multidisciplinary team on the Behavioral Health Unit to provide a proactive and collaborative approach in serving the patient population.

• Provide crisis stabilization, complete intakes and ongoing evaluations, and provide consultation to in‑house and community services.
• Participate in monthly behavioral health calls and collaborate with the medical team to determine overall treatment for each individual.
• Perform risk assessment of inmates; coordinate care with interdisciplinary team including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals, and corrections; and discharge planning.
• Assist in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects.
• Prepare necessary documentation, records, and reports.
• Use clinical skills such as prioritizing treatment needs, crisis management, brief interventions including CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
• Maintain excellent and timely documentation skills.
• Make independent clinical decisions while utilizing assistance and supervisory intervention as needed.

• Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician (e.g., LCSW, LPC or equivalent). Must be able to administer assessments, make clinical decisions, provide mental health treatment, and hold one of the following licenses: LCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMSW.
• Graduation from a Master’s level program.
• Minimum of one year employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.
• Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report.
