Location:

The Autism Technician works under the supervision of the Program Supervisor and/or Qualified Supervising Provider to provide behavioral services in the autism program. The role includes daily de‑escalation training and may involve weekend, holiday, day, evening, night and/or on‑call hours.
Responsibilities- Provides in‑home and community behavioral services to patients with autism as directed in the treatment plan.
- Participates as a treatment team member by attending meetings, providing feedback about patient progress, and sharing impressions of patient status.
- Documents observations and care provided in the medical record.
- Observes patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to the Program Supervisor and/or Qualified Supervising Provider.
- Participates in department and unit performance improvement activities.
- Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
- Managing Threatening Confrontations Certified (on‑the‑job training) required within 90 days.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth’s HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy.
For Those Driving Their Personal VehiclesMaintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation with proof of vehicle insurance when requested, and an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth’s HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy.
