Autism Technician - PT at Mercyhealth Wisconsin and Illinois

The Mercyhealth Autism Services team is dedicated to supporting patients ages 5–22 through individualized, one-on-one therapy. Our team works closely with patients to build essential skills, achieve personal goals, and foster growth through play-based interventions and engaging activities.

• Provides in-home and community behavioral services to patients with autism as directed in the treatment plan.
• Participates as a treatment team member by attending meetings, providing feedback about patient progress, and sharing impressions of patient status.
• Documents observations and care provided in the medical record.
• Observes patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to the Program Supervisor and/or Qualified Supervising Provider.
• Participates in department and unit performance improvement activities.
• Maintains current de-escalation training and utilizes de-escalation techniques on a daily basis.

• Must complete 40 hours of specified orientation on autism and application of techniques.
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
• Managing Threatening Confrontations Certified (on the job training) required within 90 days.

• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Have an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth's HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy.

• Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of vehicle insurance when requested.
