City of Janesville is seeking a School Crossing Guard. Do you take pride in keeping children safe and helping families feel confident as they start and end their school day? Are you dependable, alert, and community-minded, enjoy being outdoors, and want to play a vital role in public safety?

Join our team as a School Crossing Guard and help ensure the safety of students as they travel to and from school. You will assist children and pedestrians at designated crossings, promote safe walking habits, and serve as a friendly and trusted presence in your neighborhood.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Maturity and sense of responsibility toward children who use school travel routes within the assigned locations.

Typically Monday – Friday during the school year (September – June) with mornings from 7:50 AM to 8:20 AM and afternoons from 3:08 PM to 3:30 PM.

The starting wage for this position is $12.00 per hour; this is a non-exempt position.
