Location: Jamestown, ND
Shift: Weekends (Varying Hours) 6:00am-6:30pm Every 3rd weekend and every other holiday.
Job Schedule: Part Time and Full Time
Weekly Hours: 24 or 36 hours
JOB SUMMARYThe purpose of this position is to perform general nursing care to individuals served at Anne Carlsen. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) contributes to the nursing plan of care and provides nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. This care is guided by the nursing care plan, ISP/IEP, behavior plan, facility policies and procedures, and professional standards of nursing practice.
This position, under the direction of the Registered Nurse, assumes the authority responsibility and accountability for working with educational, therapeutic, and residential service staff in the implementation of the total plan of care, ISP/IEP, for individuals under the medical care of Anne Carlsen.
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program
- Current and unencumbered LPN license in the state of North Dakota or eligible to receive a license
- Knowledgeable about the North Dakota Nurse Practice Act
- PALS or ability to achieve
Skills and Abilities
- Two years’ experience as an LPN
- Ability to utilize advanced technology and specialized equipment in the care of medically complex individuals
- Working knowledge of medical equipment such as ventilators, IV pumps, feeding pumps, CPT, suctioning devices and practice, etc.
Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable):
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
