State Hospital - Jamestown, ND - Residential RN

As a Registered Nurse working in a residential setting, under the Direction of the Nurse Manager, you will provide quality nursing care for adult psychiatric, geriatric, sex offender, and chemically dependent patients in accordance with standards of nursing practice.

You should be comfortable conducting daily assessments, providing treatment, and making appropriate referrals for the physical, medical, and psychiatric needs of residents within the Behavioral Health Services of NDSH, and be in close collaboration with the clinical treatment team. You should also be effective in regularly coordinating and communicating with interdisciplinary team members and internal and external agencies to support optimal health outcomes and high-quality care.

You will also coordinate the admission process for all Behavioral Health Services clients, complete nursing assessments upon admission and as needed, and provide consultation for Substance Use Disorder service if requested.

You are required to have a licensure as a Registered Nurse by the North Dakota Board of Nursing or registration in another state and eligibility for licensure in ND, and one year of work experience as a Registered Nurse. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug testing is required.

Be available to work day shift hours for this position but will require to work some weekend and holiday hours.

All nursing backgrounds will be considered. Prior experience in behavioral health, corrections, addiction treatments is especially helpful.
