Location: Jamestown, ND
Shift: Night Shift, Every 3rd weekend and every other holiday. 6:00pm-6:30am
Job Schedule: Full Time
Weekly Hours: 36, paid for 40
Job SummaryThe purpose of this position is to perform ongoing nursing health assessment and nursing care to the individuals requiring it at Anne Carlsen. This position assumes the authority, responsibility, and accountability for working with the educational, therapeutic, and residential staff in implementation of the total plan of care and ISP/IEP for individuals under the medical care of Anne Carlsen. The incumbent provides direction to team members and coordinates the delivery of nursing care with other services which is guided by the nursing care plan, ISP/IEP, positive behavior support plan, organizational policies and procedures and the professional standard of nursing practice.
Educationand/or years’ experience required:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current and unencumbered RN license in the state of North Dakota or eligible to receive a license
- Knowledgeable about the North Dakota Nurse practice act and evidences based practice
- Ability to utilize advanced technology and specialized equipment in the care of medically complex individuals
- PALS certified or able to achieve
Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Two years of experience as an RN
- Ability to teach the use of advanced technology and specialized equipment in the care of medically complex individuals
- Working knowledge of medical equipment such as ventilators, IV pumps, feeding pumps, CPT, suctioning devices and practice, etc.
This position is responsible for nursing supervision of the team providing services to the individuals such as DSP/CNA’s, Respiratory Therapists, etc.
