Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Responsibilities- Open and close the store in the absence of management, including all required systems start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested at cash registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve issues and answer questions.
- Share customer service best practices with team members.
- Hold store keys to open and close without management.
- Assist and coach team members in warehouse and vendor ordering processes.
- Register all sales accurately at assigned cash register, including error records, price verifications, and voids.
- Support manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics.
- Assist in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and super structures.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts.
- Ensure Outdate program is followed.
- Handle basic department pricing and daily price changes; ensure correct signage.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payments.
- Support exterior and interior maintenance, including repair requests.
- Assist with food item separation, stock rotation, and first‑in, first‑out method.
- Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Perform bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
- Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
- Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when management is absent.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
