Principal React Developer

We seek an experienced React developer to join our growing global team. You will work with a diverse international team of developers, designers, and content creators to help shape React and web digital experiences.

• Lead Pega UI initiatives and provide solutions to complex problems
• Manage and coordinate work amongst a team of developers to ensure work is done on time
• Build and code enterprise‑level React applications and UI design system
• Resolve complex issues reported on existing applications
• Partner with other IT teams to seamlessly integrate React applications and UI solutions with Pega’s enterprise systems
• Refine complex requirements into bite‑size technical specs
• Communicate effectively with project managers, product owners, and development team members to facilitate understanding of deliverables, estimates, and prioritization
• Help with the technical evolution of the Pega Digital IT React and Design System framework
• Implement development best practices
• Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js, Express, and other server‑side technologies
• Design and implement RESTful APIs
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of applications
• Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks

A motivated and accomplished web developer with a record of building state‑of‑the‑art, scalable, extensible, and feature‑rich React applications.

• Strong technical problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently on projects
• Passionate about learning and applying new JavaScript and web technology
• Committed to collaboration and teamwork in all facets of development
• Excellent critical reasoning, oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team
• Experience with Generative AI Applications
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• 7+ years of React experience
• 7+ years of experience working with Design Systems
• 7+ years of HTML/CSS/JavaScript development experience with a CMS
• 5+ years experience with GIT with branching strategies like Git Flow
• 5+ years experience with agile software development and Scrum
• Experience building UI Experiences in Drupal, helpful
• B.S. or equivalent
