Field Technician Apprentice

Hourly range $16.00-$17.50, depending on experience.

As the Field Service Technician Apprentice, you will enjoy making a positive impact on the business and our customers through maintaining, servicing, and repairing their office equipment throughout the territory. Your core focus will be to provide on-site technical support and maintenance for black and white, color, and multifunctional printers, copiers, and other devices at customer locations.

• Work closely under the guidance of Technical Field Service Department Management and shadow a TBS Field Service Technician while learning to service and repair office equipment, , and fingerprint systems/equipment. Learn to diagnose, install, remove, modify, clean, retrofit equipment and coordinate with dispatch.
• Learn about departmental processes and procedures, complete all assigned service training (classroom and webinars) as required by TBS Management, and complete basic dealer and manufacturer training on specified systems.
• Learn and become proficient in maintaining car inventory, tools, and test equipment to ensure they are in service-ready condition. Under FS Tech guidance, learn and practice PM procedures and repair techniques to build proficiency for field assignments.
• Conduct job responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner according to TABS safety policies and procedures. Comply with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulations, program standards, and specific safety concerns identified by TABS for use in specific areas or with clients/customers. Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. Job involves frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
• Must be comfortable learning new skills.
• Must have good communications skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Requires a valid state driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage per Toshiba policy for positions entailing extensive use of personal car while on company business.
