Field Technician Apprentice
- Hourly range $16.00-$17.50, depending on experience.

As the Field Service Technician Apprentice, you will enjoy making a positive impact on the business and our customers through maintaining, servicing, and repairing their office equipment throughout the territory.
Your core focus as Field Service Technician Apprentice will be to provide on-site technical support and maintenance for black and white, color, and multifunctional printers, copiers, and other devices at customer locations. As you succeed in this role, you ll build cross-functional expertise and business acumen, opening doors for future career growth at Toshiba.
This position will enable you to directly impact our customers, the local businesses, organizations, and institutions that are pillars of our communities by ensuring that their office equipment is functioning properly to drive their organizations forward.

What you'll do- Work closely under the guidance of Technical Field Service Department Management shadow a TBS Field Service Technician while learning to service and repair office equipment (B&W, Color and Multifunctional devices), and fingerprint systems/equipment. While on the job, learn to diagnose, install, remove, modify, clean, retrofit equipment and how to coordinate with dispatch.
- Learn about departmental processes and procedures along with corresponding controls. Successfully complete all assigned service training (classroom and webinars) as required by TBS Management. Complete basic dealer and manufacturer training on specified systems as required.
- Learn and become proficient in maintaining car inventory, tools, and test equipment to ensure they are in service-ready condition. Under FS Tech guidance, learn and practice PM procedures and repair techniques to build proficiency for field assignments.
- Conduct job responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner according to TABS safety policies and procedures. Comply with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulations, program standards, and specific safety concerns identified by TABS for use in specific areas or with clients/customers. Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. Job involves frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Must be comfortable in learning new skills.
- Must have good communications skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Requires a valid state driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage per Toshiba policy for positions entailing extensive use of personal car while on company business.
