AboutOutline:
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate for a fully-funded 4-year PhD position in tensor network simulations of strongly correlated quantum many body systems that parallel similar efforts with ultracold gases quantum simulators.
The principal investigators are Prof Jacek Dziarmaga and Prof Marek Rams. Our most relevant recent publications include Science 388 (6743), 199-204 and arXiv:.
What is funded:
Fully-funded 4-year PhD position in the Quantum Many Body Theory group at the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków – the oldest higher education institution in Poland established in 1384. The town is a cultural center, home to many annual music and arts festivals.
Duration:
Oct. 2026 - Sept. 2030
The candidate is expected to have/expect MSc in physics. Strong numerical and analytical skills are required.
