announces a selection procedure for the position of an

Research and technical employee/ Junior Researcher (F/M)

  • Education in bioinformatics, biostatistics and related fields
  • Experience in R, SQL, Python programming
  • Understanding statistical methods,data modeling, machine learning, AI, application of statistical analysis in biological research
  • Aability to analyze and integrate complex“omic”datasets and draw conclusions based on experimental biological settings
  • Familiarity with tools for visualization of complex biologicaldata(e.g. volcano plots, GO analysis, heatmaps, enrichment plots, PCA, flower plots)
  • Documented experience in bioinformatics (or other) analyses
  • Good command of spoken and written English

Eligibility criteria Scope of duties

1. Bioinformatic analysis of “omic” data (e.g., metabolomic, proteomic, lipidomic, transcriptomic) generated during the project

2. Integration of multi-parameter data

3. Preparation of reports and data presentations

4. non-compete commitment in accordance with WIB program guidelines

Selection process

The first stage of the selection procedure is the formal assessment of the submitted documents. Applications which meet all formal requirements are the subject of substantive assessment, during which an interview with the Candidate (F/M) may be conducted (directly or via electronic communication channels), upon settling the date of the interview with the Candidate (F/M). During the interview, the soft competencies indicated in the announcement will also be verified.

The Candidate has the right to appeal against the negative assessment by the selection board within 7 days from receiving the information about the results of the assessment.
