Job Description

The Business Office Manager is a key member of the Administrative Team and will operate under the supervision of the Executive Director. The Business Office Manager is responsible for formulating and tracking the CCLS financial budget and policies, its accounting practices, the maintenance of its records, and the preparation of financial reports, including bi‑monthly and annual financial statements for the Director and for the CCLS Board of Trustees.

The Business Office Manager will manage the organization’s relationships with our banking partners and insurance providers. The position involves supervision over accounting, records retention, insurance, cash flow and budgeting processes for CCLS, and overseeing payroll and human resources.

Qualifications and Skills Required
  • BA/BS degree in accounting or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of five years of financial operations experience, with thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices and applications
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Attention to detail while meeting strict deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Ability to understand and carry out detailed verbal and written instructions
  • Strong computers skills, including use of common word processing, spreadsheet and accounting software
  • Problem solving skills in a variable and dynamic setting
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team
Additional Information

The position is 37.5 hours per week. The salary range starts at $50,000 based on education and experience. Additional benefits include health and vision insurance flexible spending account, NYS Retirement, employee assistance program, and vacation and sick time.
