Supply Chain Specialist

The Mission We are seeking a battle-tested Supply Chain Specialist to take full ownership of our global logistics operations. We don’t need a passive executor who just forwards emails; we need a strategic Captain of our supply chain. You will own the journey from the factory floor in China to our warehouses in the US. You will be the first line of defense against delays, the architect of our cost-saving strategies, and the expert navigating the complexities of US tariffs.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Ownership & Optimization • Own the Chain: Act as the internal owner of the supply chain. Move beyond simple execution to strategize how inventory moves, identifying bottlenecks before they become blockers. • Cost Control: Aggressively optimize logistics spend. Analyze carrier rates, negotiate with forwarders, and consolidate shipments to ensure we are getting the best value per unit. • Risk Management: Proactively identify risks (port strikes, cost spikes, seasonal delays) and implement contingency plans to keep our stock levels healthy.
• Freight & Logistics Management • Freight Execution: Plan and execute international freight (Sea & Air) from origin to destination, specifically managing FOB terms to maximize control and minimize cost. • Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL partners. Hold them accountable for KPIs and SLAs. • The China - US Lane: Manage the specific nuances of shipping from China to the US, ensuring optimal routing and transit times.
• Compliance & Tariffs • Tariff Engineering: navigate the complex landscape of US import regulations. expert knowledge of HTS classification and Section 301 tariffs is essential to minimize duty exposure. • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with all import/export regulations, managing documentation (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bill of Lading) with precision.

The Ideal Candidate

• Financial Acumen: You understand how freight costs impact the P&L and constantly look for ways to improve the bottom line.
