Overview
GD Resources LLC is seeking qualified Medical Interpreters and Translators to support healthcare facilities across the Western United States. Interpreters and translators will provide in-person, telephonic, video, and document translation services to ensure effective communication between healthcare providers and patients. This role is ideal for certified medical interpreters who are professional, reliable, and committed to delivering accurate, culturally competent language services in clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate medical interpretation and translation for patient care encounters.
- Interpret and translate:
- Medical terminology
- Diagnoses, treatments, and procedures
- Medication names and dosage instructions
- Informed consent discussions
- Deliver services through:
- In-person assignments
- Telephonic interpretation
- Video remote interpretation (VRI)
- Written document translation
- Arrive at least 10 minutes early for scheduled in-person assignments.
- Maintain a professional demeanor
, confidentiality, and ethical standards. - Ensure punctuality, reliability, and clear communication.
- Use human interpretation only (machine translation is not permitted).
- Protect patient privacy and comply with all security and confidentiality requirements.

- Demonstrated ability to interpret medical terminology accurately
- Certification from one or more of the following (or equivalent):
- State Interpreter Certification / National Center for State Courts
- National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI)
- National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC)
- Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR)
- Ability to work in clinical and sensitive healthcare environments
- Strong professionalism, ethics, and cultural competence
- Ability to complete privacy and information security training
- Commitment to strict HIPAA and confidentiality compliance
- Must not use personal or employer equipment to access restricted healthcare networks
- Must follow records management and data protection requirements
- Prior experience in:
- Hospitals or clinics
- Behavioral health or specialty care
- Government or public-sector healthcare
