Lead Data Engineer IRC

We are launching a strategic initiative to rapidly develop and deliver a new cybersecurity management platform designed to meet the growing needs of industrial and operational technology environments. The main objective is to accelerate the platform’s delivery and bring an initial product to market by the end of 2025. This project includes building internal software development capabilities to ensure a smooth transition and long-term sustainability of the platform.

A working prototype is planned for October 2025, with the first official release scheduled for December 2025.

• 3+ years experience as a Lead Data Engineer
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for building and optimizing data solutions.
• Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark and Apache Flink.
• Strong knowledge of databases, including Postgre
  
  SQL, Apache Iceberg, and Mongo
  
  DB.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar streaming technologies.
• Practical experience working with Azure or other major cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, log and event data formats (e.g., syslog, JSON, STIX), and security telemetry is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different teams.

• Design and build data pipelines – Develop, optimize, and maintain data ingestion and transformation processes to integrate information from multiple sources into cloud-based platforms.
• Implement scalable data architecture – Translate business requirements and architectural designs into reliable, production-ready data systems.
• Optimize performance – Improve query speed, storage efficiency, and overall system performance through partitioning, indexing, and data format optimization.
• Automate workflows – Use orchestration tools and continuous integration/delivery practices to automate data processing, transformation, and deployment.
• Enable analytics and AI – Provide clean, structured, and validated datasets to support reporting, business intelligence, and advanced analytics.
• Monitor and maintain systems – Ensure pipelines are observable with monitoring, alerting, and logging. Diagnose and resolve production issues efficiently.
• Ensure data quality and integrity – Apply validation, deduplication, and reconciliation methods to maintain accurate and trustworthy data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams – Work closely with architects, analysts, Dev Ops, and software engineers to deliver integrated data solutions.
• Contribute to best practices – Define, document, and promote standards in coding, testing, version control, and data governance.
• Mentor team members – Support and guide junior engineers to enhance technical skills, maintain high-quality code, and strengthen team capabilities.
