Client produces the best-selling iPad and iPhone app for pilots flying personal and business aircraft, corporate flight departments, and aircraft operators. Customers include individual pilots worldwide, Fortune 500 corporate flight departments, state and federal agencies, leading operators, the military, and leading aircraft OEMs. We have been in the App Store since its grand opening in July, 2008 and are consistently ranked in the top 50 grossing iPad apps in the App Store.

Mandatory

Skills:

• Mapping:
  Experience building web-based geospatial authoring and visualization tools
• Front-end Frameworks:
  Proficiency with both Angular and React.
• Java:
  Extensive, current experience writing high-quality Java code.
• Databases:
  Experience working with and optimizing relational and spatial databases (e.g., Postgre
  
  SQL, PostGIS).
• Python:
  Familiarity with Python for scripting or data processing.
• AWS:
  Experience designing, deploying and operating services within Amazon Web Services.
• Build Management:
  Proficient with Maven or other build management and dependency handling.
• Application Monitoring & Debugging:
  Experience with monitoring tools and expert skills in debugging and troubleshooting production applications.

Highly Desired

Skills:

• Spring Boot or Similar Web Frameworks:
  Experience building and deploying RESTful web services using Spring Boot or comparable modern frameworks.
• Aviation Interest: A pilot-coder or someone with experience building solutions for the aviation domain is a significant plus.
• Aviation Standards:
  Experience with any of the following: DO-200, ARINC-424, DO-272
• Teaming:
  Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams to bring solutions into production.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Charting & Mapping Team. As a member of this team, you will design and build the web-based tools to modernize how internal users visually author and maintain geospatial aeronautical chart information, maximizing automation. We seek a mid-to senior level engineer who is motivated and independent with a demonstrated record of delivering mission-critical geospatial mapping solutions.
