We’re looking for an API Tester with strong backend and automation experience to help validate complex API-driven workflows in a cloud-native environment. If you enjoy breaking systems, building smart automation, and collaborating closely with developers in Agile teams — this role could be a great fit.
Responsibilities- Building backend/API test automation (functional, integration, and performance)
- Testing multi-step workflows
, including document generation and location resolution flows - Creating mocks and stubs for external services (product, pricing, rate services)
- Designing dynamic test data strategies for complex backend scenarios
- Implementing negative and error-injection tests (timeouts, missing metadata, failures)
- Measuring and reporting performance baselines and tuning test harnesses
- Validating logs, metrics, and observability using tools like Cloud Watch and Open Search
- Collaborating closely with developers on TDD story refinement
- Providing quality metrics
, insights, and continuous improvement recommendations
Your Background
You’ll thrive here if you have experience with:
- 3–5 years of QA automation
, primarily focused on backend/API testing - API testing tools such as Postman, along with custom automation scripts
- AWS services testing:
Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB - Performance or load testing exposure
- Observability validation (Cloud Watch, Open Search, logs, metrics)
- Strong test data management and mocking discipline
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with TDD collaboration
- Experience with document generation platforms
- CI/CD test integration (Git Hub Actions, AWS Code Pipeline)
- Background in financial services or regulated environments
