Senior SEO Specialist

We’re looking for an SEO Specialist with strong hands-on experience in organic search and a strategic understanding of how SEO drives growth across the marketing funnel.

This role is not for generalists, content-only writers, or task-based executors. We’re looking for someone who understands why SEO works, how search behavior and algorithms evolve, and how to adapt strategies accordingly.

You’ll work closely with strategists, content teams, and operations to plan, execute, and continuously optimize SEO initiatives that support real business outcomes.

• Own and lead keyword research (primary responsibility)
• Develop and execute on-page and off-page SEO strategies
• Optimize existing pages and guide new content creation based on search intent
• Apply SEO best practices with a clear understanding of ranking mechanisms and user journeys
• Continuously test, refine, and evolve SEO approaches as search landscapes change

• Monitor organic performance metrics (rankings, traffic, conversions, engagement)
• Analyze SEO and marketing data to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities
• Work with CSVs, spreadsheets, and dashboards to interpret performance
• Translate data insights into clear recommendations and next steps

• Align SEO efforts with the broader marketing funnel
• Understand how users move from discovery to activation and conversion
• Collaborate with content, growth, and strategy teams to ensure SEO supports overall goals
• Recognize how different channels (blogs, communities, forums, etc.) contribute to organic growth

• Have 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience focused on organic growth
• Are strong in keyword research and search intent analysis
• Can “zoom in” on tactical SEO execution and “zoom out” to think strategically
• Understand how SEO strategies evolve — and when to pivot from what no longer works
• Are comfortable working with marketing data, dashboards, and performance metrics
• Can clearly explain why SEO initiatives performed the way they did
• Are proactive, adaptable, and avoid rigid or templated SEO approaches
• Can work PST or overlapping US hours

• Experience scaling SEO programs or driving organic growth for SaaS or startups
• Familiarity with content refreshes, page restructuring, or programmatic SEO
• Experience working with dashboards or funnel-based reporting
• Strong async communication skills in a remote environment

• SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, GSC, or similar)
• Google Analytics (or equivalent analytics tools)
• Google Sheets / Excel for analysis and reporting
• Slack, Notion, Gmail
