Senior Business Analyst

This role entails knowledge holding about the event-driven architecture (EDA) platform for standardized integrations and assistance for external teams implementing their end-to-end integrations between multiple systems. Engineering standards and documentation exist for guidance, which the BA will need to navigate well across and contribute to. Applicable area of the integration content - the retail/e-com domain operations as well as ERP (SAP4

HANA). Business event modeling (conceptual, logical, and technical) is needed from a business analysis perspective.

In this position, you will play several roles at once:

• System Analyst modeling business event structures where field-level analysis of different complexities is required
• Business Analyst facilitating high-level business flow analysis and developing/improving processes in the team and across multiple teams

• Collaborate with multiple teams to clarify business and technical requirements.
• Provide guidance on the integration platform and relevant engineering standards.
• Facilitate business flow analysis and ensure accurate translation of data exchanges into business events.
• Contribute to building and optimizing internal and cross-team processes.
• Work with the engineering team to define optimal technical solutions.
• Create and maintain Jira tasks for development teams.
• Review Avro schema pull requests from both technical and business perspectives.
• Support the full development cycle, from pre-analysis and design through UAT and release coordination.
• Prepare detailed IDDs, field mappings, and documentation.
• Identify corner cases early and help automate them to reduce manual testing.
• Take ownership of system quality and adherence to established standards.

• 5+ years of general experience in IT and/or E-commerce, Retail-tech, Logistics
• 3+ years as a System/Business analyst
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills
• Strong requirements elicitation skills across multiple stakeholder types
• Business flow diagram drawing
• Preparing dev tasks, technical design documents, and field mappings
• Solid understanding of XML/JSON, APIs, Kafka fundamentals, and databases
• Knowledge of SQL and data structures
• Confident user of Jira, Confluence, Lucid, Miro, Azure Dev Ops, and similar tools
• Project management experience is an advantage
• Ability to efficiently switch between multiple work streams

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems
• Proven track record in implementing an EDA approach

This is an independent contractor opportunity based on a direct contractual relationship between Zoolatech and the individual service provider.
